Abstract

In Tamara Kamenszain’s work, the porosity of genres, the genealogy and the fabric of an affective filiation sewn together by literary and cultural references can be read as a device from which it is possible to theorize the notion of archive, making the roots of categorization tremble. This essay covers these issues in Chicas en tiempos suspendidos, the last book of poems by the Argentine writer. From a reading through the cut (which is both assumed to be the coup du vers that opens layers of meaning while separating and uniting at the same time, as well as the suspension point in which disjoint times meet, and also as a mode of appearance of the real), we seek the many layers that open up in an incision that operates, at the same time, as a rupture that allows to be born again, in another way, in another generation, displacing and reestablishing relationships, alliances, affiliations.
