Abstract

This article analyzes the paradoxical way in which some literary critics – academic or journalistic – has given attention to the maudit, marginal, or suicide poets in the second half of the twentieth century, addressing the specific cases of Alejandra Pizarnik and Ana Cristina Cesar. This way of read is defined as paradoxical as it insists on identifying the figures of inadequacy that these myths pose in the scene, or just freezing the dynamic characteristics of becoming and dispersion that would seek to praise. From that point, the paper wants to demonstrate other ways to approach this "myth" that take into account their quality of survival, especially in the work of artist Laura Erber on the two poets, in which he there is a discussion about the boundary between life and death, between literature and visual art, between art and nature, between procedure and gesture, between uniqueness and community.
