Abstract

This article investigates the work of Cristina Burneo Salazar. Departing from a research in which she tries to analyse the meaning of bilingual acrobatics, a term she created to analyse Alfredo Gangotena´s poetry in political and poetic terms. Burneo builds up a strategy where poetry analysis imposes both corporal and political settings. Her work is both academic and poetic, due to the dialectical complexity, the stylistic hybrid ends up expressing that setting whilst accounting for a political position: the poetic chronicle. The article analyses how her poetic chronicle brings into the table, dialectically – in the Lukacsian sense -, controversially, the debate of the current imaginary, which exercises violence by hiding: the struggles of sexual diversity, antimining and recognition of the shuar people.
